Happy 40th Nellie!

The small tourist town of Galena, IL. This was the start of the 1/2 mile shopping downtown.
We visited the Field of Dreams site from the movie, it was a great experience.

I pretended to hit and ran all the bases, it was great!

  The Mississippi River!
Winery/Brewery, we did enjoy the wine!

We had to walk from our Bed and Breakfast up a big hill and down one to get to main street and Hope can only handle so much! :o)
Hope, Nellie, and mom in front the bed and breakfast.
                                                        Nellie with all her goodies!
Hope got her, her old unicorn blanket she had as a kid, she was surprised!
The view from a ski hill! We had a nice dinner here for Nellie's 40th bday.

Our first night together! We had an amazing time!
The Bed and Breakfasts' dining room, our room was right in the far right corner so accessible to everything.
The living room of the Inn.
Our room, we had a suite. This was right as you entered in the door.
The second room with a Jacuzzi tub which we did enjoy! :o)
All the stairs we had to climb up and down.
                                                           Field of Dreams!
Nellie wore her crown proudly all day long. She is happy and so fulfilled at her early age of 40.
The hostess's of the bed and breakfast surprised her with a cake for all of us to share. I was pumped! ;o)
They were some of the nicest people, I recommend going for a visit!

                                                     Nellie's bday dinner!

We had a great time over our 1st girls weekend! It went way too fast but we enjoyed every minute of it. We did lots of shopping, drinking, relaxing, and eating. It was the perfect place for Janelle's 40th bday getaway weekend. I'm sad already thinking about how we waiting so long for this weekend and now its over. :o( This is the first of many and I look forward to planning future upcoming ones. I got home yesterday evening and unpacked and packed again today to leave tomorrow for St. Louis. We meet Dave and Becky there to drop the girls off for 5 days while we travel farther south to Texas to experience some new baseball stadiums and probably cook to death. :o) It is our little get away! We then will meet auntie and uncle back in Arkansas for a Lindahl family reunion. I will enjoy more vacationing and the open road. Will post all pics when I return, I hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July.

Happy Father's Day

Ella painting a horse- the 1st station at the horse farms!
 Eva painting the horse.
Eva, ready to ride a horse, the 3rd station. Skipped the 2nd, it was coloring and snacking!

Eva brushing a horse- the 4th station. The last station was a smores station, the fire was a bit much on a 85 degree, sunny day but the smores hit the spot,
Is this not the perfect picture!
Ella got to guide a horse!
We went to a birthday party in the park on Tuesday morning, we had a great time!
I watched my friends boys on Wednesday so she could find some time to pack and get ready for a big move.
It was nice to have some boys in the house but apparently the girls were thinking something else. :o)
Baby Drew got a ride in the wagon, they really would be great big sisters!  But not holding my breath on that one. :o)
                                      Where's Waldo, I mean Eva! ;o)
I watched my other friends kids on Friday, 5 kids total is a bit much for this lady but we all enjoyed the day. And we all got ice cream from the ice cream truck, I have never seen happier kids than these when the truck stopped in front of the house. (made my day)
Daddy took this beauty for a walk!
We are looking at cars and the girls took up some time by getting in ALL of them and test driving them out.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! mommy had to work but the girls enjoyed their daddy, all day!
Ella playing in the sprinkler today, washing up her jeep.

The horse farms event was part of Ella's preschool field day and the girls had so much fun. It was last Sunday. We had a busy week, although I didn't work as much because Eva was sick most of the week. She started last Monday with a low grade temp. She acted fine most days, eating/drinking/playing but her fever continued and spiked at night. I finally took her in on Thursday when she actually was acting sick and found nothing; probably just a virus. Hopefully we didn't spread it to any of our friends we were around last week. Thankfully, Ella hasn't caught it either. Monday I did work and they went to the sitters, Tuesday we took it easy bc I also worked the overnight although that was the day with the bday party in the park. Wednesday we had a playdate with the boys and that little Drew who is 13 months is the most adorable little boy ever so I enjoyed some baby time. Thursday we went to the Dr. and spend most the day on the couch. Eva and I took a nap while Ella kept busy playing the wii, coloring, and watching tv. She is too funny and way too grown up already! I asked her if it was ok it I napped and she listed multiple things she could do and said it was no problem at all and that she would wake me if she needed to. Then there's Eva who is in her own little world most of the time! Friday I worked overnight again and the weekend was spent recuperating although I worked again on Sunday. Evan spent his fathers day bonding with his little lady's, I met them for dinner after work so that was nice. I work again tomorrow and then I'm off for some summer fun. 1st trip to meet my sisters and my mom in Illinois for my Nellie's 40th bday, yay! That trip is me solo, should be super fun! Then I come home for 1 day and leave for the Lindahls family reunion in Arkansas. Looking forward to it! I hope everyone else is enjoying summer!
