Happy Valentines Day

On Valentines Day, we had a great heart day! They kept saying "I love you heart Valentine!" We had heart cookies, we made/ heart biscuits and got lots of goodies from grandma&grandpa Vondal and Lindahl and auntie and uncle Dave and Becky and Auntie Hopie and Auntie Nellie. The outfits in the picture were from Grandma and Grandpa Vondal. Thank you all for sending your love!

Adam Levine from Maroon 5, the most amazing concert. I was so incredibly lucky to be there, I will treasure it forever.

So after watching baseball bloopers with Evan on the computer, Ella and daddy were pretending that daddy was going to pie her in the face. Well Evan thought it would be funny to actually do it so he put frosting in a papertowel and got her, lets just say she didn't think it was so funny, oh and Eva wasn't so thrilled either. She was more upset and wouldn't stop talking about it the rest of the day. She just kept saying "daddy you're really not really ever gonna pie me, right?!?!"

At a birthday party, we have never been here so the girls really had a good time. There was playgrouds, trampolines, BB hoops, soccer nets.

And CAKE! Never thought anyone could love cake more than me but Ella most certainly does.

Sports 101; Evan has been working with the girls on BB, golf, and baseball. Since we are not in any extracurricular activities we try to keep them busy and their minds thinking.

Well working with kids is incredibly tiring, I thought it might just make life a little easier but nope just a different busy. Welcome to our new crazy life! I worked everyday this last week from 8-4, so it was early mornings which we are not used too. I think that was the hardest adjustment; good thing its not the norm. From now on it will be 10am or later for me to start work which I'm happy with. My job thus far is going well, I think I will really like it. The whole area of hospice is a wonderful place with wonderful, caring people including the doctors and executive director. No one seems better than anyone else, we are are there for our patients who need us. It's a great environment to work in! This week I work tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at Hospice and Friday overnight with my normal client. It will be busy. Wednesday was the concert, I went with my best friend Jenna and her friend and we had a fantastic time! Of course I was the only lucky one who had to get up for work in the morning! So lucky to have a new job. :o) We had a great Valentines day, not much time spent together but the girls were happy and we all had a great dinner (heart shaped cresent rolls with chicken nuggets and Pink Champagne Cupcakes). This weekend was time to catch up on sleep for sure, we didn't do much. Ella and Eva both have bad colds so sleeping is already a challenge. The weather here is so weird, snowing part of the day and sunny the other, I prefer warmer weather. I really don't know how I ever survived in ND with below 0 temps. I can barely handle 20 degrees. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoyed Valentines Day as much as we did!

Izzy, cutie guy!

                                                                       Eva's bowling!
                                                                      Ella's turn!
The girls are dancing with Beyone during the halftime show of the Superbowl.
Even I really enjoyed the puppy, missing cuddling with her at nights when the girls weren't hogging her.
                                                      Ella and Izzy
                                                 Eva and Izzy
Poor Izzy was made to do everything, dancing, dress/up, carried around in her toy kennel/purse. I think Izzy was excited to get the heck out of here.
                                                                   Bedtime reading time!

We had a great week, I had some free time as one of the other moms and I watch each others kids so that the other mom can go do errands or something for herself. So I dropped the girls off and had a few hours to myself, although it surprising how fast 2 hours go. Eva and I went to school with Ella on Wednesday because I helped volunteer at the school. Eva had her first speech lesson here at the house last week as well. She had so much fun working one on one with the teacher while Ella spend some bonding time in her room. We had Izzy at that time and listened to music/ painted Ella's nails while she also played games on my phone. She made the cutest comment; "Mom this is awesome, its so quiet and its just you and me. We can do whatever we want! Glad she thought it was a cool idea! She is looking forward to doing it every week when Eva works with her speech teacher. I have found out that I start my new job on Feb. 11th, it will be some busy weeks but I am so happy to find a good work/kid schedule. I finally get to do something for myself and I couldn't be happier that to help others in the process. After my 6-8 weeks of training, which will include 3-5 days a week plus my Friday overnights I will begin to work just 2 days a week in which I get to pick what days/times. Its so flexible and I'm so happy I have found this job. Dave and Becky will be there, of course, to help us while I'm working almost everyday. They plan on bringing the girls back to Tennessee with them, alhtough hesitate because I have never let them go anywhere but when we left them last year they were with auntie and uncle so no other people better to be with. I know they won't miss us and much as we miss them! They will have a wonderful time! Hope everyone is staying warm, even here in Ohio its been ridiculously cold and I'm counting down the days to Spring.

The new DIY canvas photos. They turned out pretty good! Can't wait to put them up!
We also got Ella's headboard and letters done today. I'm thrilled that they turned out so well! She loved it too!

Ella in her shiny new rockstar pants and hipster jacket on the way to get donuts with daddy. What a lucky little girl she is!
Eva at Ella's frind Kennedy's bday party. She was sitting on the queens throne! She felt special for a few seconds.
These are all the kids at the party! We only knew 3 others from school but the girls had so much fun. And apparently Kennedy and Ella are the bestest friends as you can tell.

Well we have made some changes and changes are always fun! Ella's room is complete and she is happy how it turned out. We will soon put up the canvas's and be done for awhile, considering I finally got a new job! Yay! I got the official call yesterday and start Feb. 11th. I think we have almost everything in place for it. We have found a new daycare lady whom a lot of my other friends know so I know she will be wonderful. I'm excited to start my new career with a hospital as an admissions hospice nurse, hopefully this position takes me far. The girls had a good weekend, kind of lazy but nice to catch up and relax. We have been taking care of a sweet little teacup yorkie (dog) named Izzy since last Thursday, we have her until this Sunday. The girls love her maybe a bit too much! ;o) Evan hates her but his fondness is growing I think. We now know for sure that we will NOT be getting a dog anytime soon. Too much for me too handle! We are excited to tour Ella's new schools tomorrow and will  let you know how they go next week. She has 2 options so hopefully we can get some insight on each of them tomorrow. We are enjoying the 65 degree weather that will only be here for another 12 hours probably, so outside we are headed.

My birthday

Me and my girls on my birthday out for dinner.

Look at how happy I look! Yes CAKE!

Ella's ready to blow them out!
Ella dressing up her and her puppy!
Daddy and Ella made a perfect cake!
We (Becky and David and I and the girls) painted Ella's room. The girls had fun helping! Eva didn't last long but Ella couldn't helped forever.

On MLK day David and Evan took the girls to the zoo, bless their hearts because it was freezing; 20 degrees, snowing and blowing. Becky and I stayed home to paint, wish we could have relaxed but there's never time for that. The girls didn't complain once to me about how cold it was.

                                                 Sisterly love!

Ella's new room, we have a few more things to finish up but should be complete within the next week!
My new Northface fuzzy jacket from my bestest friend Jenna for my birthday! Eva likes how soft it is too.
Eva was on Uncle's team when we played a game. She doesn't have the attention span for much yet.

Uncle David made me a snowman, I love it!

Ella got her hair CUT! It got a little shorter than expected but it was starting to get pretty tangly and neither her nor I want to deal with that so we made it better. We all like it!

Sorry for the delay, I have been working more and Uncle David and Aunt Becky were here for almost a week. They came last Thursday to help out by watching the girls while I slept from work 2 days and also so Evan and I could escape normality for my birthday to go stay in a hotel. No big plans were set just shopping, movies, eating/drinking, and relaxing. We had a super time away and appreciate everything Becky and Dave do for us, which there are certainly no words to tell them exactly how much they mean to us. They also helped us get some projects done around the house, painting/fixing. Ella's room turned out great and she loves it. I have become quite the do it yourselfer. :o) Dave and Becky helped me get started on Ella's headboard, just 1x6 boards, stained and put up for Ella. The cheapest headboard I could think of especially since Evan thinks they are not necessary. We (me and Ella) also painted her a mirror pink and put sparkles on it, she loves it! Tonight I also just put some pictures on canvases to hang. They are expensive to buy so I made my own, they turned out great! I will post pictures of all this stuff as soon as we get them hung. So other than keeping busy we are doing well, Eva has a cold again so kind of miserable. Tonight we started our 10 day dog sitting service, Ella and Eva are going to have a great 10 days. I will hopefully have some time to myself :o) I hope everyone is staying warm because its a cold January.

Sick

Well we had a very tough week, we ALL got sick. Ella was the 1st one last Saturday and then slowly we all caught it. Puking and everything! Not fun to be around or have! So I'm hoping that this week is much more enjoyable.
We finally got out of the house this Saturday when it was 55 degrees and went to the park, The perfect outing!
Ella's balancing!
Ella and Eva's new favorite thing to do at the park.
Evan and Ella went for a little hike while Eva and I stayed close to the park.
Eva and daddy got groceries and Barney caught Eva's eye.
Crazy picture in Janurary, huh! It was in the 60's and the smores were amazing.
The girls were singing Jingle Bells, loudly!
My sick girlies! Poor things.
The night I was the sickest, the girls had fun with daddy, making a Reds snowman. They were very proud!

I hope everyone enjoys their week! Prayers go out to those who need it! ;o)
